Educational Video Policy
Music for All will provide participating directors with a link to an educational video copy of their band’s performance through BOX5 Media, the official video provider of Bands of America Championships. It is important for us to be able to provide directors with an educational video to be used as a teaching tool and an evaluative resource.
The link to performance recordings will be emailed to directors as soon as possible after each performance. Directors’ educational videos will be captured from our “high camera” vantage point. Videos will be available to download one educational copy or stream online.
BOX5 Media will create an account for every school, linked to the primary director’s email on record. Each school is given one account. There is NOT an option to add other staff members to your school’s page, and you will not be able to log in across multiple devices at one time.
Once your account is active, you will receive an email to finish setting up your account by setting your own unique password. If you do not receive the email to finish setting up your account, please contact fall@musicforall.org and we can connect you with BOX5 Media support.
Access Your Videos Post-Performance
- Using a web browser go to Box5tv.com/director
- Username: Your school name
Password: Your personal password
*If you have trouble logging in, please use the “Forgot Your Password” link. This will push a password reset to your primary email associated with your account. Music for All does not have the ability to reset your password – for any tech support you will need to contact BOX5 Media Directly. - On your home page, you’ll see links to the videos, named with the date and location of the show.
- Click on the link of the video you’d like to watch. Use the playback video features to watch and navigate around the video.
Sunday Clinic Videos
If you are participating in our Sunday clinics after the event, you must provide your own video on your own playback device for use in the clinic rooms. Your professional educational copy can be downloaded from your BOX5 account one time for this purpose.
Music for All is arranging for internet at the clinic locations, however Wi-Fi is not guaranteed at each clinic location. Bringing your downloaded copy will ensure a smooth clinic experience.
Opt Out of the Provided Video
Directors who do not want access to the professional recorded educational copy from BOX5 Media and Music for All and want to record their own educational copy may choose to opt out per the regulation below. Only one educational copy of a performance is allowed by law so if you choose to opt out you will not have access to the BOX5 professional educational recording. This option allows for a single person to video their band’s performance from the Director’s Viewing Area with the proper credentials (Director Name Badge or Field Pass). Bands may not video from the spectator seating zone, press box or any other video decks/platforms at venues.
The Video Opt-Out process will occur on the 2025 Information Form and must be submitted 30 days prior to performance to be considered eligible.
