The Music for All Foundation is committed to supporting the next generation of music educators and leaders. These scholarships recognize graduating seniors who demonstrate exceptional potential to carry forward the power of music in their schools and communities. By supporting future educators, we help ensure that music continues to inspire, connect, and transform lives for years to come.
2025 Scholarship Awards
- Fred J. Miller Family Scholarship – $2,000
- Yamaha Corporation of America Scholarship – $1,000
- Fred J. Miller Memorial Music Education Scholarship – $1,000
Scholarships will be presented on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Grand National Finals Opening Ceremony. Recipients will be notified the week of November 3, 2025.
Applications and director recommendations are due on October 21.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be graduating seniors who:
- Plan to pursue a degree in music education
- Demonstrate outstanding musicianship, leadership skills, and work ethic
- Plan to enroll in college within one year of high school graduation
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Perform at a 2025 Bands of America Regional, Super Regional, or Grand National Championship
Application Materials
Each student must submit:
- Résumé of musical and leadership achievements (academic, musical, extracurricular, and community service)
- Essay (500–750 words) addressing:
- The experiences or people that inspired you to become a music educator
- The traits essential to a successful music educator and how you exemplify them
- Band director recommendation
