Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?

I wanted the opportunity to perform with other young musicians from all over the country and be able to learn from world-class faculty.

What part of the trip are you most excited about?

Getting to play in an ensemble full of fantastic musicians my age.

What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?

Hard work pays off more than talent, you get the results you want by putting in 110% effort, music is deeper than what is written on the page.

To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school band program?

Performing at Grand Nationals and creating a final product that I will remember forever.

What activities and clubs are you involved in?

Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Chamber Ensemble, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, VEX Robotics, Boy Scouts of America

What are your post-graduation plans?

Major in music performance with a minor in computer science.
