Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?
I was entranced with the idea of marching with more than 300 people in a band and wanted to challenge myself.
What part of the trip are you most excited about?
I’m most excited for meeting all the friends that I’ve found through this. We have our own GroupMe for the students and I feel that we already know so much about each other it would be amazing to meet everyone in person.
What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?
The work is never easy
You must prove your worth to the ensemble
Music brings everyone together different from anything else whether it’s agreeing on something or having different opinions and still playing together
To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school music program?
My favorite memory has to be the first jazz solo I had
What activities and clubs are you involved in?
Concert, jazz, combo, marching, martial arts, yearbook
What are your post-graduation plans?
My plans post-graduation are to go into the medical field by getting my bachelor’s in nursing sciences and continuing on to get my medical license in anesthesiology or general ER

I went to Summer Symposium in 2019 where I found out about TOR
