Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?
I feel this will be an experience of a lifetime that will never be forgotten.
What part of the trip are you most excited about?
Meeting other percussionists who have the same passion and making lifelong friendships.
What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?
I have learned great leadership skills, the importance of being dedicated and responsible to fellow musicians, and how to effectively communicate.
To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school music program?
Marching down Main Street at Disney World with the band
What activities and clubs are you involved in?
I am a current member of the 2021 Cap City Percussion WGI ensemble and am planning on auditioning for a DCI Drum and Bugle Corps this summer.
What are your post-graduation plans?
I will be studying Computer Science Engineering at either Michigan State University or Ohio State University.
Have you participated in any Music for All or Bands of America activities before? If so, which ones?
Yes, I participated in the Music for All Summer Symposium in 2019. It was a wonderful experience and performing with the Carolina Crown drumline was so exciting.
