Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?

I applied to be a member of the Honor Band because I saw what this can do for me in terms of the opportunities in the future.

What part of the trip are you most excited about?

I am most exited about the 5 mile march during the rose bowl parade. Also In-n-Out.

What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?

Ive learned how important it is to be a good leader. I’ve learned how important team work is. I’ve also learned self-discipline and self-motivation that I can apply to my everyday life.

To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school band program?

My favorite memory was the BOA competition we had in Florida.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I would plan on continuing my music education in college and doing some form of DCI.

Have you participated in any Music for All or Bands of America activities before? If so, which ones?

I participated in BOA Regional in Florida.
