Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?

I enjoy music and marching and heard this BOA opportunity was a great experience from friends that had done it in years past.

What part of the trip are you most excited about?

Finally getting to be there and meet all the other students. The trip sounds amazing, and I can’t wait to get there!!!!

What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?

  1. Learned how to march and keep pace with music
    2. Marching band is family. It’s more than just an activity.
    3. How much hard work it takes to put on a show.

To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school band program?

Participating in BOA super regional at Utah with my parents there to cheer me on!

What activities and clubs are you involved in?

Marching Band at CSU-Fresno State. Traveled in Summer 2021 with Mandarins DCI Marching Band.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Become an elementary school teacher
