Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?

I had a friend of mine tell me the fun memories he had when he did the honor band back in 2017 and thought I had to apply for the Honor Band.

What part of the trip are you most excited about?

I am most excited to finally meet the many great people in the band after having been talking with them for almost 2 years.

What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?

I have learned discipline, pursuing excellence to the finest degree possible, and learning how to be a better friend in life.

To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school band program?

My favorite memory was during my freshman year when we were at Indianapolis for Grand Nationals. It was playing our ballad piece greyed rainbow that I remember the most and had the most joy with music.

What activities and clubs are you involved in?

I was involved in track and football during my time at Marian Catholic.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Attend DePaul University and acquire a degree in Business Management.

Have you participated in any Music for All or Bands of America activities before? If so, which ones?

I have performed at several BOA events, to be specific I have performed at the St. Louis Regional, Iowa Regionals, Indy Super Regional, and Grand Nationals.
