Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?
I applied for the comradery. Do not be mistaken, I am ecstatic for the opportunity to march, play, and enjoy Pasadena; thank you to Music For All for giving me such a unique opportunity. But memories are made with the people around you. Different parts of the United States all joined at one venue? That is pretty cool.
What part of the trip are you most excited about?
Most excited about… that’s a hard one. Meeting individuals who live nearly 3000 miles away from El Dorado Hills, CA is very cool, I would say that tops my list. I am extremely excited to learn about others’ personification of their home state.
To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school music program?
I would say it is a toss-up between our football games and our marching rehearsals; but one specific favorite memory does not come to mind. Football under Friday night lights has its own atmosphere, it is electric. The marching rehearsals, however, are more interpersonal in the way we all come together to make each other better, while also having fun (and maybe dreading our faculty) at the same time.
What activities and clubs are you involved in?
I am not involved with any school-affiliated activities or clubs to date. Though, I am currently working for Carter’s Carpet Restoration and Bear Flag Realty.
What are your post-graduation plans?
Post-graduation I plan to work full time while going to American River College in the evening.
Have you participated in any Music for All or Bands of America activities before? If so, which ones?
I have not participated in any Music for All events, nor have I attempted to apply for any regional or state honor bands.

I am a fairly straightforward guy. I like to invest, both literally and figuratively.
