Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?
I thought it’d be pretty cool to say that I’m a part of this band! I had heard about it at the St. Louis Super Regional, and my band director encouraged me to apply.
What part of the trip are you most excited about? Excited to meet all my new TOR friends!!!
What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?
I’ve learned how to lead appropriately, how to handle uncomfortable situations, and that I matter as much as the next person does
To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school music program? Making Grand National finals for the first time in Jenks history and placing 9th!
What activities and clubs are you involved in? I am in dance and art.
What are your post-graduation plans?
I plan on majoring in Broadcast Journalism at either UNT or USC.
Have you participated in any Music for All or Bands of America activities before? If so, which ones?
My high school marching band has competed in the St. Louis Super Regionals and Grand Nationals. Our wind symphony has attended the MFA National Festival.
