Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?

I applied for the honor band to get the chance to work with people of different backgrounds and coaches with different teaching styles.

What part of the trip are you most excited about?

I’m most excited to meet people from all over the country.

What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?

  1. channel nervous energy into excitement
    2. don’t overwork yourself – take breaks when needed
    3. “one more time” is NEVER actually one more time

To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school music program?

My favorite memory is going to a WGI competition in Vegas my freshman year.

What activities and clubs are you involved in?

I dance and I’m very involved in my church.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Go to college and hopefully study criminology.
