Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?
I applied after hearing about the program from a friend and because I wanted a chance to play music with a great ensemble.
What part of the trip are you most excited about?
I am most excited about the percussion weekend in Indianapolis.
What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?
I have learned how to better manage my time, how to communicate/work with others, and how to be a better leader.
To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school band program?
One of my favorite memories was performing in the Norwalk, CA Band review and winning Sweepstakes.
What activities and clubs are you involved in?
I am involved in band/drumline, yearbook, Save Our Planet, AMP and Interact Club.
What are your post-graduation plans?
My plans are to attend a four year college like Cal State San Bernardino or UC Riverside and possibly work a part time job with the City of Montebello.
Have you participated in any Music for All or Bands of America activities before? If so, which ones?
I have not participated in any Music for All or Band of America events before.
Tell us something unique about yourself.
I am one of two people in my family who have Vitiligo, a condition in which the pigment is lost from areas of the skin, causing white patches.
