Music for All’s Bands of America Honor Band will march in The Rose Parade on New Year’s Day 2022 in Pasadena, California. With more than 300 members, this national honor band will represent school band programs across America. Meet the members!

Why did you apply to be a member of the Honor Band?

I applied to meet new people and to continue to grow musically.

What part of the trip are you most excited about?

I am most excited about marching in the Rose Parade.

What are three things you’ve learned from being involved in your high school music program?

I learned how to be a better leader, how to be more social and the importance of time management.

To date, what is your favorite memory of being involved in your high school band program?

My favorite memory of being involved in my high school program would be hosting a marching band tournament at our school.

What activities and clubs are you involved in?

I am a member of my high school’s baseball program.

What are your post-graduation plans?

After high school, I would like to march in DCI, graduate from college and then enlist in the Navy.

Tell us something unique about yourself.

I have a black belt in Soo Bahk Do, which is a Korean form of Martial Arts.
