September Message from The President and CEO

Dear friends of Music for All,

Fall brings a familiar new rhythm to music classrooms, fields, and auditoriums across the country. Educators are welcoming students, building trust, establishing routines, and creating opportunities for growth. They do this thoughtful work while navigating the many demands of a new school year. As the Bands of America season unfolds, we are grateful for the opportunity to see where that steady, demanding work leads.

Some of the most meaningful moments are not the ones that happen in performance. They happen in rehearsals, sectionals, and classrooms as students improve, take responsibility, and learn to work together. Educators make that progress possible through consistent instruction, clear expectations, and individual support. Expanding access to those experiences remains central to our work.

We are pleased to share several ways we are working alongside educators, students, and families. Our Honor Ensembles give students the chance to grow as musicians with peers from across the country. The Teach Music Experience helps future educators understand both the purpose and the day-to-day realities of the profession. At Grand Nationals, our Parent and Booster Experience supports the families and volunteers whose time and commitment help programs thrive. Our summer camp for student and music teachers is a national gathering for learning, sharing, and fun.

Our fall offerings also include broadcasts, podcasts, and information about fall scholarships. These resources are made possible in part through support from Yamaha, Sweetwater, and all our other wonderful corporate partners.

Looking ahead, we want to be a partner educators can count on. That begins with listening, understanding the challenges you face, and shaping programs and relationships around what students, schools, and families genuinely need.

Thank you for the work you do and for the many ways you make music possible for young people. Whether you teach, volunteer, give, cheer from the stands, or encourage a student at home, you are part of that work. I look forward to a fall filled with strong teaching, shared purpose, and students discovering what they can accomplish together.
